From Rose came Dual Champion Kaw River Chief. From Chief came 1976 ACHA World Ch. Grand Nite Ch. House's Tom Tom. From Tom came Grand Nite Ch. House's Clint. From Clint came Dual Grand Ch. House's Lipper. From Lipper plug in a name.

Rose had a very good pedigree of dogs that helped make and build the foundation of the Treeing Walker Breed.



Rose was out of Nite Ch. Staley's Paducah Chief. One of the top hounds of his day. He was out of Nance's dogs. Let us not forget that name when we think of the history of the breed. If it wasn't for people like Lester Nance we might still be hunting English Dogs. Don't think getting the Treeing Walkers as a Separate breed was an easy task.

Rose's mother was out of Dick Hershbergers best cross. Ch. Nite Ch. Hershberger's Okla. Spot and Nite Ch. Hershberger's Texas Babe. Texas Babe was Hershbergers best female and producer. Babe was a grand daughter of Mack Twain. Another name that shouldn't be forgotten. He was one of the most popular dogs in his day that put not only tree but track power in his offspring.

Kaw River Chief did not get all of the good stuff from just his sires side. His mother put her part in too.
