Favorite Stud Dog John J. Monroe Has Offered To The Public
Favorite John Monroe Stud Dog Poll
This poll was put on UKC Dogs but because of the limit of only being able to put 10 dogs in the poll, we have also placed the poll here with more then 10 dogs in the poll.
IN 1965 JOHN J. MONROE WON THE 1965 ACHA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP WITH FINLEY RIVER SPOT. THIS WIN HELPED PUT THE FINLEY RIVER STRAIN AND FINLEY RIVER CHIEF ON THE MAP.
IN 2009 JOHN J. MONROE WINS THE 2009 ACHA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP WITH BUCK CREEK IKE. YES, JOHN DID HANDLE IKE IN THE HUNT THE SAME AS HE HANDLED SPOT IN 1965. WHAT AN ACCOMPLISHMENT. BUCK CREEK IKE GOES BACK TO FINLEY RIVER CHIEF A NUMBER OF TIMES.
I tried to put a pedigree up on this thread but wasn't able to get a good one to show up correctly. So here are two links to his pedigree.

The pedigree is fairly accurate. I may have a mistake in a title or letter in a name but it should be correct. This is my disclaimer in case I made a mistake in collecting this.
I will go back in Ike's pedigree in the coming weeks and share the results here. I do know he goes back to Finley River Chief a number of times.
Buck Creek Ike will be 3 years old August 14, 2009.
To me this is a great accomplishment. To handle and win the ACHA World Hunt in 1965 and promote the breed the way John Monroe has done through the years. Then 44 years later to handle and win the ACHA World Hunt with a dog that goes back to your dogs a number of times.
Who wouldn't be proud to do the same thing?
Hats off to John J. Monroe.
Here is his phone number if you want to send him congrats or talk about Ike. 660-457-3658
How about a poll on the favorite stud dog John Monroe has offered to the public. I can only put 10 on this and I know he has offered more. Here is a link to the dogs listed in the poll.
